Facilities
Our CVPS servers are located in a Data Center on a mainframe-type raised floor environment hardened to provide the maximum level of security and availability. The Data Center is housed in one of Atlanta's premiere Carrier Hotels and has 24-hour on-premises electronic security and guard services. The computer room is appropriately secured for authorized personnel only.
The Data Center has redundant Liebert air conditioning systems sized for the BTU requirements of the space. A Halon fire protection system provides maximum security from fire. All power supplied to the computer room is provided through a UPS system with automatic on premises generator back-up. The entire facility is served by two separate power substations from Georgia Power. The primary substation provides buried, concrete encased power lines to the building.
Network
Cloud VPS Hosting's Data Center has multiple GigE connections to international backbones to ensure uptime. These connections are provided by Telia-Sonera (which includes a primary direct link to Europe and backbone in Europe), Level III Communications (recognized as one of the premier backbones in the North American continent) and Cogent Communications (which has recently acquired a European subsidiary). We also have 80 Gbs capacity of fiber connection to the main POP in the Southeastern United States, TELEX's Marietta 55, giving us access to over one hundred national and regional providers.
Network circuits are provisioned on a fiber optics network that uses the latest SONET and FDDI technology. Cloud VPS Hosting has physically diverse entrance facilities to the Data Center to ensure maximum separation of circuits for greater reliability. CVPS uses multiple high end Cisco routers and switches for connections to the Internet. These routers are continually active and will automatically redistribute traffic load using HSRP protocol upon failure events, resulting in minimal site downtime.
Service Availability
Cloud VPS Hosting services are designed to provide maximum performance and uptime 24-hours-per-day. Backup servers replace production servers in case of a failure. Backups are performed on a daily and weekly basis. CVPS Hosting servers are SNMP-managed and utilize devices located on a remote and distant network to notify by pager any problems that internal SNMP may not be able to detect. This is a major factor that allows CVPS Hosting to maintain at least 99.9% VPS server availability.
We Own Our Data Center
We have modern data center and updated back-up system but If any of the physical servers in the cloud infrastructure has failure, such as power supply or hard disk outage, then automatically, one of the other servers take over the functions of the disabled server, so with this advanced computing environment you can be sure, that your server will work without stopping and interruptions and be always available.
